It's 29th August 2009! Mark the day i bounce back to blogging. it's been a wonderful year. Things that happen around me. I wouldnt go through it month by month, for now i shall say that am facebooking a lot albeit i wld love to disown it in the past.

Work life has been good.
Fitness level - stepping up.
Friends - taking care of them . :)
Loved ones - love them as i always do.

I've been inspired by cancer patients these years . . . I've to come this stage of life where i've witnessed people, close to me, depart off this world. . . An uncle with prostate cancer, an aunt with her colon . . . A friend who is in his early stage of his lung cancer... a mate's father whose last 1 year of his battle ended this year...

Recently, a buddy's mother has been hospitalised in the hospital. She was discharged yesterday and been given morphines as painkillers. Two months - that was the figure given. I guess, two arduous months or perhaps longer, require much more supports in many aspects than u could possibly think of. . . tears. induced laughters. water. touches. farewell.

I hope all is well for your family, zly.

3.live life to the fullest

Hey, i may not know if any of you actually view this page while i'm away, but if u do, what i cld tell u is "i'm doing pretty good here". guess i've successfully put on weight healthily here.

Pollution is still wrapping this city tightly,somehow, that's the one of the reasons am staying away from the outdoors.

I need to do a tooth replacement procedure , shockingly, it wasnt as simple as i thought. hope i have a good toothie time here. cross fingers.

well, nothing really much to really share about, for this , i shall end my entry now. This place is really noisy (internet cafe) i shud have brought my laptop along.

It has not been good days for me. I wake up in odd mornings. musing whether i'd be able to get back on the pillow again. and i failed at tiimes. this congestion is nt doing any good . medicines after medicines. well i feel like am owning a drug store inside me . well, it's been better . but wish i cld be much better.

i've bin immersing myself in reading. well it helps to distract, as far as i realise. .

Hola back boi, am buack... :)

After seconds of hibernation , i've finally come close to the surface. Trying to breathe in as much as fresh as air as possible, BUT weather sucks lA!

was down with dry cough. . sobs.

ANYWAY, i caught three movies so far
Let's hear my movie review. wakaka

1. 10000bc. The lead lady is so beautteeefull...... :) the entire show is definitely no heart-attack. Pace is fine. rather slow at times. scenic views, legendary animals, bare bodies lol.

2. Step up 2. WEll, i would have expected a much more enriching and rejuvenating sequel. This is definitely less interesting. It's no doubt, a no-sucker for dance inspired movies. i meant if u were to compare to honey, save the last dance, just to cite a few, this has much more attitude to it . Esp when they involve teens like US. :p despite, the entire movie appears as a display or rather a wide mannered version of YouTube 'Dance on the Streets' sort of clip.
Gorgeous bodies n weirdos probably make up the entire cast. :P

3. Spiderwick . The Chronicle. I've never expected that i'd plant my butt in the cinema watching such chronicle. though , am no rebel towards kids' chronicle but this one... hahaha.. well....it actually startled me . the movie has beautiful motion pictures. a very strong crew of young actors. who spoke with much intellectual drawl and confidence. Love it. The lead boy's life revolves around the discovery of magical creatures which are set free and visible by his own daring pair of hands as he unlatched the secret book. .

Hi people!! People of 08 i'd say. WElcome back to My blog. AM so truly deeply apologising for the delayed entry production. the past weeks, according to my wikipidea, has been another roller coaster ride. Well, at least for nw, im able to indulge myself in a sip of life's unexpected pleasures. at least, for now. phewwww....

Just a brief summary of what has happened in fern's life.

07 xmas dinner- well, this was the day i touched down from jkt. the 10days break back there was rejuvenating but simultaneously, panic inducing. haha. (got to fnsh up my drawings back then).

07 xmas day- nothing much except for a singing session. (oh man, think of it, i've been singing 3 times till now ) well , i enjoyed it , no doubt.

07 countdown- hmm.. whhere was i? yeah, was at a friend's home for a special countdown. bowling afterwhich. yummy festive.

01-01-08- hmmm, nothing much. except rising to the sun with mind bogged down with one thought- SUBMISSION OF PROJECT. arrgghghh.. those were the days anyway.

07-01-8 submission! (time of salvation) halleluyah. yay

and test after another test, which i probably have done 'successfully' well in screwing up most of them. and thank god am still happy. lol

MILCHEL'S NIGHT 2007 - An annual hostel party organised by Milchelians (that's what we call ourselves) to reward students' hardwork in their studies. It's the time to slouch, watch, chill after long batteries of examinations some of the students had. For me, it's a night to unwind after submission the day before.

The theme- Your desire (votre desir) . It is cute to see how my hostel mates transform themselves into their idols, world famous characters and even the much-sought after guy' Osama ... ' .

MILWAUKEE, Wisconsin: A sheriff's deputy went on a shooting rampage Sunday, killing his ex-girlfriend and five other teenagers at a house party in a small town in Wisconsin, authorities said. The 20-year-old deputy and all those shot were all part of a close-knit group of friends, sources said. A total of 10 area youths aged 16 to 21 were at the party, WMTJ Radio reported. Police have confirmed that a 19-year-old was in critical condition. The shooting began just before three o'clock in the morning and within hours the deputy was also dead, although authorities would not say how he died or where. Today is another submission day. The sun was too intense.. I did clock in hours of night rest. thank god. There are 2 more submissions to go and i'll be graduating soon.

Guess i'd miss times when i speak of my stress points, ups downs in my archi life. Those would sound bitterly sweet as it lingers for years in the future.

I'd miss my friends in Architecture class. Many have diversed interest, it sounds ironic we may be doing things off-architecture. but guess what, i've learnt much these 3 yrs in poly n wldnt trade this experience with anything else. or neither wld i be feeling regretful. Thanks!

Dad is progressing well. much better than expected.due to be back early dec. My vacation will be on the 16th dec. pondering whether i shd go back n how long wld that be. leave it till later.
07 is closing itself, i long for 08 to begin. though 07 has been such a wonderfully bitter n sweet times of my life. .

RUnforhope jointly organised by sing cancer society n regent hotel , is an annual running event that carries the spirit of terry fox. Am inspired to take part, for a friend of mine is having a lung cancer now. Proceeds will go to various cancer institutes and centres in SIngapore.

I saw throngs of people. some amputees too. inspiring! the weather was chilly. rained earlier in the morning and drizzling while we ran. despite, the entire run was great!

hey guys, look here! yeah, that's right, here. hee. am about to update ya with my trip.

My tribal team won second place. we had fabulous gift from the school- a piece of towel for each member. :P

Redang's sunny sky was irresistible. soaking in the sun, drinking rum with a parade with magnificent 'view'. aha. that;s definitely not the kind of thing i did there.

We perspired, ran, screamed, squealed, perhaps, and did many other ACTIVE stuffs. well u know me, i hate running. :P

the trip to snorkeling was great, excpt for the bumpy boat that rocks my brain till its chemical screams in headache. sigh. well, those were the times.

My life vest kept pressing on my back, argh, i was wriggling in the open sea trying to relax the stiffed neck n back, at times, i gulped the sea water, 5 times altogether i counted. it's very very salty. i dont know where they obtain so much salt from.

saw clown fish and other DEAD starfishes. the corals look horrible and scary.

lemme share u a secret. i peed twice in the sea. aahaa.

the resort we stayed was ok. food wasnt that great. staffs were boring. lol.

overall rating- 6.9/10

Am feeling happy. though my cough hasnt recovered. you know sometimes you are aware of what makes you feel that certain way but you just dont do what u are supp to when that certain way is no good. dont understand right. i just feel like speaking garbages.

If you are asking how long have i left this blog unattended? well the answer may just come out right now. .
what i wanna say is I AM BUSY. no excuse. esp in Singapore. :)

well, it';s true. too true to be true. Life has been hectic. Well let's not call it life, for life is full of happiness . hmmm... devilife, how does that sound? hee. I've felt much anxieties at times sorrows these days. I've brighter days .. sometimes... but not always. still looking for that equilibrium each one of us longs to have . . a balance where mind is at peace and heart goes complementing.
sigh.. i could only sigh....

Hving complained... it gives me strength in times of downfall.. perhaps tat's me. someone who cant be pushed off the cliff. i declare myself not wanting to be defeated... which makes me stronger .. fly higher than i could possibly imagine. . . i thanks those around me. i thank the mind. i thank the attitude. i thank the love.. from people whom i know and whom have loved me and bcome part of my life.

I;ve heart lightening sharing session with the lectures. hearing things i wouldnt imagine them saying. It's so encouraging, esp in times when u seek to fall deeper and not wanting to help heave yourself to a safer place.

I brought myself to face hard cold facts these days. not wanting to deal with the unnecessary troubles i could only cause to myself, which leads me to nowhere but a place of darkness and huge uncertainty. i've experienced that! and never want to go back there anymore... not in this life. .

i have come up with something that goes, " face it. Swallow it. There's no way you should be running away."

I received grades for presentation. 3As, 1 B. encouraging enough to move on better. this one proves something. thanks to all!
been busy with the club matters. interpoly gathering, international nite, events after events, hanging out, visiting dad, archi final project, in house activities, gym, not to mention the yogas which i;ve left behind for a month. :(

Am i expecting too much out of myself?

it's been a roller coaster week..

Days have turned to night and vice v. slugging thru the piles of drawings, with the UHU sticks glued to all the cut foams and stuff, my room is a mess.

I submitted my work yesterday! It's party time... not exactly for wed is presentation, at least i cld draw a slow long breath to ease out the tensions im having..

Thank god daddy is progressing...

Remember when i spoke how i wish i cld do a lot of things back home in jakarta, i did nothing much in contrary., my mood is subdued, dad fell sick...work was stagnant... but i did manage to cheer myself up knowing that im there with my family..

to top that up, i've a real 'nice' flying experience with valuair-cheap airline sigh- on my return trip.. believe it, it's 4hours delay + PASsenger missing case blablabla that dragged for half an hour... oh gosh, reached sg at 430am.. shucks.....

now that things are through, i cld see dad more often. i hope he'll b discharged soon... praying hard..

Well it's me again. Back from Kuala Lumpur. Let me share what stuffs we got there. The bus ride was arduous.. cld have been better if the dvd had not been played and the bumpiness could be less reactive. sigh.

I did shopping. nothing much to view actually. though the eye-catching red stripped planet hollywood polo tee caught the eyes. 76 ringgit. It's M size, guess what , it is rather big! :( no exchange, no refund, damn petronas.

I ate down the hawker lane just behind the hotel most of the time. The food was fantastic in contrary to its exterior look, rundown, sleazy like spot. The food is cheap too. enjoyed myself munching those msian products.

Oh yeah, we bumped into a few hookers. well they arent exactly normal 'ladies' for they are men concealed behind cheap layers of make up and weird hairdos. to them it's HOT, to us, it's irresistibly thumbs down! thank lord they didnt pick on us. :)

Apart from the booming commercial and residential projects in the heart of KL, the city has not seen much changes from my last visit.

But on the whole , i did quite enjoy myself. it's surreal like what rhoda said. but well, what else could we expect more. after all, holiday in archi life is never gonna be like a real holiday!

Am in the waiting area waiting for my flight to take off. Jakarta here i come. kinda miss home,mum, her food, her karaoke , shopping, old frens. It's only a week there, hope i could do much. apart from the project! thanks haris for the exceptional idea. Am gonna bring it to higher level. see me in crit. hee.

ERCO WAS cool. In fact, i learnt quite a sum from them. accent, ambient and scenic lighting.
as usual, the naysayers would say, nah why should we go, it's a waste of time. well, im here to prove you wrong.

I chose to take a break today. My body begged for a rest.. feel better after rejuvenating myself with a quick TWO hour naps. is that quick?so thus here i am, writing this piece, not asleep yet. partly my mind is swirling too much for the adrenaline rush to subside.

Am staying at home for a week... feel good when i dont have to get my ass activated early in the morning... but pile of work turns me off. uh, wish i could switch off the sun and make every lecturer thinks doom's day is looming, esp the lady who teaches environmental science, thus leading her into a topsy turvy dimension as she tripped off the balcony of her HDB flat and there goes her life...

Life isnt always a bed of roses. I was busy plucking all the roses i could find on earth that i left behind my dearest blog for months. My last post- last day of attachment.

Things have happened..as usual..or else time isnt alive isnt it.

Last week-presentation week. Snapped a few photos of weirdos and weirdess whose frantic or relieved expressions made us wonder how presentation could drive us crazy.

IT was an effortful effort for the hardworking hard work that we put in.. My presentation went 'well' which ended in such a high adrenaline-pumped sort of atmosphere as we skipped and skipped the important matters to talk about our idea as a whole. Rhoda 'moaning' in a seductive tone over the mic... people love it, she hates it. conclusion - yeah, we managed to close ours with one!

I guess we learnt what's lacking. Pat on the back though. despite the lectures' surprised good comments, we arent taking tat for granted.

as usual, life moves on after..we find ourselves preparing for the second presentation. arggh,, it's getting more demanding!

my design for the museum... words like peranakan, translucence, weaving, exhibits, concepts engulf my mind like wild fire. Not to mention my personal interests in other stuffs.
Fern you can do it! I'm pushing it. . . push with me, shall we?

It's all about time and mind over the heart. . control and navigate. . how i wish i could be a good commander of my own mind. . more often than not, waves of desires and temptation push my boat to the furthest shore. .

It's been some time yea since i spoke the last time. I've been working overtime for the past few days. Tiring but satisfying. I'm not even sure whether they will pay me. sigh.

Today's the second day of my 8th week. next week will be the last. As i count, i only have to work for another 6 more days and off i go. That sounded more like a relief uh. But seriously, am gonna miss this workplace of mine and the people.

I woke up each day with different mood. i guess everyone else too. i've a couple of high adrenaline rushes during few of those days when i was excited about certain things that are about to take place after my work .

I've levelled up my exercise level. I hope it's not too much. I pick up tennis! And i'm excited about it. At least, it's an indirect medium to train on my legs. cant afford risking myself looking like a chicken with all the gym sessions done on my upper body part. I promise im gonna be better as time flies.

I'm sick of short hair actually. Oh well, each time i visit the salon, the haircut tends to 'vary' but it still retains the fundamental feature. YOu cant do much with short hair, apart from those colouring and line cutting. what else? I'd love to keep my hair long, as i learnt that i've high forehead, it's the biggest mistake i'd ever do if i keep it. but who knows long hair will suit me more? hehehe.. haiz, actually am just excusing myself for not able to withstand the urge to cut my hair once it grew more than an inch long. haha.

WEll... sometimes, it's fun to talk about all these stuffs. Though i'm not sure how much audience i'll be expecting to read. :) just me n my fingers. dont bother criticising okay? huehueheuehe....

I cant wait to go back to school! Back to lectures, works, projects, clubs, gym, yoga, tennis, outings, pubbing and many other things which lead me to cardiac arrest! Aww, so exciting!

Old age?

Am not an afficianado of the old people though i've been speaking stuffs in regards to old age etc. But this bunch of people seems to appear before me whenever i travel.

As i was savouring my lunch yesterday, i saw an old lady spoonfeeding an ADULT man. Another old lady in the train today was happily reading the Barbie comic in her attempt to revive her lost happy childhood. She looks as if she cant be bothered! Not to mention, a few grannies who dress up like the jap teens months ago when i was around at toa payoh. With all the gimmicks n excess xcessories they are simply eyesores! Probably, more than that. It's an insult to our adolescence. :)

The key answer to this phenomenon i'd call it is aging population. wakkakaa.. It's really true.
Having to say that, i dont wish to live beyond 50. Hee. I mean it. Oh well, i cant decide for myself though for the decision is up to the divine. What am trying to say is, i just dont wish to live life where i've to depend on others when i need to pee or walk. stuffs like these really frighten me! But who knows old age is a better moment of life? Some earth's inhabitants say, " life begins at 40". When i heard it i pondered to myself," 40? Are u mad? What have you been doing for the past 40 years then? ' (."). Again the contradictory me.

I develop fine lines around my eyes at this age. Sigh, does it mean botox is on its way? Shoo the god-damn botox. :) lol. i dont need you Mr. Bot! But i need Ms. Facelift. hahaa.. jkjk...

Happy life , happy life, that's what i desire for. Knowing that friends, mom, dad, sista and everyone else whom i know love me, i'd be more than happy.

Need a nip tuck? or a tummy tuck? Perhaps, one day i wouldnt mind having one. or a nose job.. though born flat nose, i've acquired greater height in my nose bone structure that it protudes to look like a sharp one. I've grown out of the chubby dimension (@3.5kg net weight when i was a baby) till the slim me. But as we get older or ancient in the next decades, our mind will transport itself to the realm of childhood... that's what i learn from my grandparents. same thing goes to the body... i wld probably grow back my flabs of adipose tissues, my fine lines which have successfully hid themselves during the youthful war, finally emerged as champions as it comes to old age.

Nip tuck? or carbo peel? ha ha. Well, when time comes. i'll decide. Who knows i dont need them at all. Age gracefully.

It's the start of the 7 week of attachment. Week 9 to 'back-to-skool'. Will make the best out of my dripping time and impress my boss! huehuehue..

Finally... The end of FIFTH week. a MONTH to go.

Am tired... real tired... Tired of life's monotony. Hmmm... how should i put it? imagine u think that ur life is filled with emptiness, u will then begin to fill it in with lotsa stuff...

But as u acquire more and more fun-ness for yourself, you will soon get sick of what you've been doing. as such, life becomes empty again...

SICK days are up for me. I've been sick for 3 days. Argh... Body gets heated up, i feel cold sometimes, want to throw up at times, lethargic.
I hope i recover by today for there's work tmr. Cant imagine what my boss would think of me if i skip work for DAYS.

Love it when i'm home these days resting. Less money spent, more time to read my novels, well it may sound simple, but i miss this moment. . Sometimes, small things in life thrill me much.

I'm trying to press down on my hp bill. I hope it works. If it doesnt , i'd better get myself hang!

I went to vivo yesterday, for a new round of massage after a month plus . The massaeur was saying, " aiyo, look at your shoulders, so stiff, you see lah, long time never come liao! "
I was thinking , ' auntie, come no need money ar.' haha.
I was refreshed after the massage though. It seems a few kgs load have been lifted off my body. Shiok!~ In addition to that, i purchased a new belt for my existing one could barely hold my pants for long. hee. sometimes i got to pull it up discreetly. paiseh leh. hee.
A new pink and beige shaded lycra pullover, it's really cool. guess what, it's so cheap tat i cant resist it. 20over dollars. good quality. wakakakkaka...

At least my spending is much better now for those who knew how i spent last year. lol. god bless me always. :)

INDUSTRIAL TRAINING PROGRAMME

It's 5more weeks to the end of my attachment. Cool. Time flies. Look forward to coming back to school. Miss the foodcourts, miss my friends, my lecture rooms and the toilettes. lol.
Gonna miss my colleagues too. They are so nice and fun.

Though it's going well for me here, it's definitely going real bad for INdo now. SIgh.

1. Garuda chose to blast its passangers rather than giving them a proper landing.
2. As a result, our nasi Padang owner is enraged, for no reason his enormous fist hit the ground so hard that it shook the entire nation.
3. Our VP vows to suffocate the transport officials due to the plane case. a bit too late right?
4. In addition to our constant customers such as: flood and dengue, we , too, have surprised visitors of the Earthquake family, the Volcano Erupters, the fowl's Kingdom and many others whom have yet to visit us.

It's sad to note that these disasters are happening to the world's top 5 most populous country. Many lives suffered. The poor doesnt survive. The rich flees the country. What's left of indo then?

I just wish for the best. One day, should i not be residing there anymore, i'd still look back and treasure memories i have back there.

With the watchful eyes on my bosses, i opened the school web and checked.

Oh great, i'm excited, not to see how well i fly, but rather, how deep my results could ever sink.

Am 'smiling' to find two new Donkeys in my backyard, a new Cock in the farm and a Bee with the tattoo + on its butt flying around the computer screen. Well, it's distinction for psychology though.

Good lord am back for good. At least that would mean that there's gonna be a rise in GDP n GPA (Guy's Power Approximation) in the coming year 3. I hope so. WINK.

Many would say that studying is the BEST PART OF YOUR LIFE.
It did not dawn on me until i began working these days. Well, it isnt a real job though, but it's meant to be one. ;)

Having to clock in at 9am each morning, i made a reluctant switch to my snoring hour. Earlier sleep of course. More often than not, am bombarded with messages from fella frens n fans (to be precise), which left me with no option but to work on those finger muscles once again.
That's how my phone bill skyrocketed to the highest sky you could ever reach! ;P
As such, i usually sleep at 1am and above.

My alarm woke me up at 720am, just the right time to kickstart the day and arrive at work punctually. My subconscious mind told me to sleep a 'little' longer. :) What a perfect day. Till the minute point made another round, and there i found myself panicked to face my room ceiling at 8.30am. That didnt alarm me much though. I took the normal pace to bathe and get dressed instead of hurriedly zipping my pants.

I reach the train station half an hour later. 9am. Guess what time i start work? it's 9am. lol. I did a quick march once i reached tanjong pagar and began my 'are-my-bosses-there' kind of speculation till i stormed in the office. To my realisation, only one/two colleagues have turned up. phew.. and my bosses? Oh yeah, forgot to inform that they always clock in 2hours later.
Well, you should not blame me too much for i've actually learnt my lessons of coming to office early. I came in at 9am and guess what, no one's around. I've to wait for another 20minutes before someone opened the door.

At work

Work is fun. or perhaps i've been pshychoing my little mind to make the 9-1830 work 'FUN'. Shits did happen. When it occurred, i just have to solve those s***. Anyway, i'm blessed with great people here, incld the bosses. no complaints! Nice food at the nearby hawker too. Tantalising porridge which activated my sweat glands to its very max. Each time i cameback to office, my clothes drenched, forehead wetted, mouth stinked for i've been savouring the mixed pork porridge. :)

My salary? $440/mth. Too little to survive. But what's there to complain anyway?

Life at work is a matter of priority. You sit down and do your stuff, when it's time to knock off, you fly! but you cant fly too high for there's work the next day. weekends? time to rest. sigh.
Pathetic cycle. Despite, it turns me on! just like the viagra. laugh out loud.
